Who’s Performing at the MTV Video Music Awards 2022?

Who’s Nominated for the MTV VMAs This Year?
Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, and Jack Harlow lead this year’s VMA nominations with seven award nods each, including some of the night’s biggest categories. Lil Nas X and Harlow are nominated for Video of the Year for “Industry Baby,” which they performed at the 2021 ceremony, with both also scoring Artist of the Year nods.
Harry Styles and Doja Cat, meanwhile, both scored six nominations at this year’s VMAs for Video of the Year for “As It Was” and “Woman,” respectively, plus Best Pop Video and Best Choreography, to name a few.
Taylor Swift scored multiple nominations for the 10-minute “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” for Best Cinematography, Best Longform Video, Best Direction, and Video of the Year to boot. Swift previously took home a Best Direction trophy for her video for the Lover track “The Man” at the 2020 awards show.
Five-time VMA winner Nicki Minaj, who’s set to perform at Sunday night’s VMAs for the first time in four years, will receive the 2022 Video Vanguard Award. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to receive the Global Icon Award, and they’re also returning to the VMAs stage to perform for the first time in over two decades.
