Brian Cox Reveals How Logan Roy's Story Will End in "Succession"

The fourth and final season of “Succession” has arrived, with the first episode premiering on March 26. The episode opened with Logan Roy’s (Brian Cox) birthday party, but this time, his children were mostly absent. Conor (Alan Ruck) is the only one present, as Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin), and Shiv (Sarah Snook) are all away, plotting against their father. This has led viewers to wonder about Logan’s mortality, as the show’s title implies that succession only happens when the head honcho dies. Will Logan die during this season?

Brian Cox, who plays Logan, has not given any clues as to his character’s fate. He told Variety on March 18 that Logan “absolutely gets what he needs” and that he felt “nothing” when he played his last scene. However, Logan has had a few health issues throughout the series, such as a stroke in the first season and a UTI in the third season that put him in acute psychosis.

Kendall also had a difficult time in season three, leading many to believe he was trying to drown himself. However, by the end of the season, he seemed to be in a better place mentally after finally telling Shiv and Roman about the man who died at Shiv’s wedding. Will his high spirits last?

New episodes of “Succession” air Sundays on HBO and stream on HBO Max.
