Caroline Chikezie Discusses Portrayal of Fierce Character Noma in "Power Book II" Season 3: "The Guys Fear Her"

The latest season of “Power Book II: Ghost” has introduced a new, ruthless character to the show – Noma, played by Caroline Chikezie. In true “Power” fashion, her entrance was explosive, with the episode’s opening scene ending with her chopping off a woman’s hand to retrieve a blue diamond ring. Noma is the “ruthless new connect” who disrupts Tariq’s plans to exit the drug game, and Starz promises that she won’t be playing any games when it comes to her business.

Chikezie drew inspiration for her queenpin character from Denzel Washington’s Frank Lucas in “American Gangster”. She says that when Noma comes into the lives of Tariq and his crew, she “kind of takes over a bit and shows them what’s what”. Tune in every Friday on Starz to see how things unfold.
