BUZZ: ‘Extreme’ mold infestation cause of longtime health issues for Tori Spelling’s family

Tori Spelling rushed her children to an urgent care Wednesday after she found out the family had been exposed to “extreme” mold inside their rental home for months.

The actress said the kids — who are between the ages of 6 and 16 — were dealing with a months-long “continual spiral of sickness” before the fungus was discovered.

The face mask-clad “Beverly Hills, 90210” star shared photos of her young children sitting inside the Urgent Care — one daughter appeared to be laying on the examination table with a thin sanitary sheet pulled up to her chin while another waited with a cooling patch stuck to her forehead.

“Here we are again at Urgent Care. We’ve all been on this continual spiral of sickness for months. Sick. Get better. To get sick again,” Spelling wrote in an Instagram post.

“Used to think… well that’s what happens when you have young kids in school. They just continually bring sicknesses home. But, when it gets to the point where they are at home sick more than being in school we had to reassess what was going on.”

Spelling said she “knew something bigger was going on” when her children had routinely been spending their days sleeping and claiming that they feel dizzy when awake.

Over the last few months, her kids suffered from near-constant respiratory infections, “extreme” allergy-like symptoms and skin rashes, she said.

Her oldest son Liam, 16, was diagnosed with strep throat and a 103-degree temperature during their Wednesday doctor visit.

Spelling said the “pieces began to fall into place” after inspectors found plentiful mold throughout the home, a risk she overlooked when she moved into the building despite it being labeled a “health hazard.”

“We now know that when the house was labeled a health hazard and not live able (sic) that wording was FACT. We now GET IT! It’s hard to just uproot a huge family especially in midst of all feeling so sick and in bed. But, we now will vacate the home asap,” Spelling wrote.

The “Scary Movie 2” actress had chronicled her family’s battle with the then-mystery plague — in December she announced her youngest son, Beau, 6, missed nearly a month of school after falling “sick again.”

In January, Spelling revealed that her oldest daughter, Stella, 14, was hospitalized twice after suffering hemiplegic migraines, a rare kind of migraine that affects a person’s motor weaknesses and can impair their speech and feeling.

The diagnosis comes just one month after Spelling developed an ulcer in her left eye, forcing her to wear a bedazzled eyepatch.

The ulcer was not related to the mold infestation, however — Spelling had neglected to take her daily-wear contacts out for several days.

Spelling and husband Dean McDermott also share daughter Hattie, 11, and son Finn, 10. McDermott also has a 24-year-old son, Jack, from his first marriage.
