Ireland Baldwin had her friends and followers fooled when she posted a video of her musician boyfriend carrying a baby carrier from behind. The sweet moment prompted many viewers to believe the couple had welcomed their first child together, only to be surprised when the video panned to the inside of the carrier where their adorable dachshund was resting comfortably in the seat.
Several of her famous friends expressed their confusion and were quick to call out Baldwin for trolling them with the misleading clip. Hilary Duff, 35, commented on the post, “Ok ya really got me you punk”, while her cousin Alaia Baldwin, 30, wrote, “YOU CANNOT DO THIS TO ME”. Meanwhile, Paris Hilton, 42, didn’t seem to pick up on the puppy prank and fully celebrated Baldwin becoming a mom. Lydia Hearst, 38, also fell for the trick, commenting, “Congratulations!!!!!! ️️️️️.”
Other fans of Baldwin also expressed their shock when they saw a dog instead of a newborn in the carrier. Baldwin announced she was expecting her first child with RAC, 38, on New Year’s Eve 2022. The couple is planning on naming their little girl Holland. Baldwin has been candid about her struggles with pregnancy and called the experience “mental warfare”. In March, she celebrated her pregnancy with a wild baby shower that involved a strip club-themed “baby blowout”.
