Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler might just be one of the hottest Hollywood couples of all time.
Though the stars have each been in high-profile relationships in the past (Butler famously dated Vanessa Hudgens for nearly nine years, while Gerber was linked to Pete Davidson and Jacob Elordi), it seems the “Elvis” star just can’t help falling in love with the model.
Here is a look at their relationship over the years.
December 2021: Romance rumors begin to swirl
Gerber and Butler were photographed attending a yoga class together in December 2021.
Upon exiting the studio, the pair walked closely and carried on a conversation before hopping into the model’s car, which the actor drove.
Later that month, they were spotted heading to an airport together for a holiday vacation.
January 2022: It’s official
In January 2022, Page Six confirmed the duo’s relationship.
“They’re newly dating,” a source told us at the time. “Kaia thinks Austin is a sweetheart. They’re having a lot of fun getting to know each other.”
Our source added that Gerber’s parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, were “supportive of the relationship and only want to see Kaia happy.”
February 2022: Their first Valentine’s Day
Kaia and Butler jetted off to Paris in February 2022 to celebrate their first Valentine’s Day together.
March 2022: They try to keep a low profile
In March 2022, Kaia and Butler were reportedly seen leaving W Magazine’s pre-Oscars party together.
May 2022: Their red carpet debut
Kaia and Butler made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala 2022, where they posed for pictures together.
Later that month, she joined him at Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of “Elvis.” While walking the red carpet together, the pair shared a kiss.

Despite the PDA, Butler shot down GQ when asked about his love life with Kaia, telling the magazine, “I don’t think there’s anything I want to share about that. But thank you for providing the space.”
December 2022: Fun in the sun with her family
Kaia and Butler were snapped enjoying a family vacation in Mexico with her parents and brother, Presley Gerber, ahead of New Year’s Eve 2022.
January 2023: Golden Globes Weekend
Spies at the January 2023 W Magazine pre-Golden Globe dinner told Page Six that the actor and his leading lady spent the evening “cuddled up in the corner.”
After Butler won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama for his portrayal of the late King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, he and Kaia were spotted sharing a celebratory smooch.
Shortly after, Presley’s only child — daughter Lisa Marie Presley — died following cardiac arrest. Butler took Kaia to the memorial service at Graceland, where the couple held hands and sat behind the grieving family.
February 2023: ‘Making out all night’
Insiders at the 2023 W Magazine Best Performances party told Page Six Kaia and Butler were “making out all night.”
March 2023: Vanity Fair Oscar Party
The model and the actor stepped out in style for the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. However, after he lost the Oscar to Brendan Fraser for his performance in “The Whale,” Butler and Kaia traveled back to Mexico for a little R&R.
April 2023: Loved up at the Time 100 Gala
Kaia and her blond-haired beau could not keep their hands off each other at the Time 100 Gala in April 2023, as they flaunted their love for eager photographers.
May 2023: Engagement rumors
An anonymous tipster claimed to Deuxmoi that Butler had proposed to Kaia last month. However, a source told Page Six the duo was not engaged.
