It turned out to be a Kardashian-filled affair after all. Despite rumors that Anna Wintour had axed the famous family from fashion’s biggest night, Kim Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner all attended the 2023 Met Gala. The three sisters posed for photos together at the top of the stairs, chatting with Vogue correspondent Lala Anthony.
Kim revealed that the night was especially emotional for her, as it was a celebration of Karl Lagerfeld, who Kendall had modeled for in the past. The Skims founder also admitted that she had taken a shot before arriving with her sisters.
The three sisters opted for drastically different looks. Kim was dripping in pearls in a corseted Schiaparelli gown, while Kylie kept it classy in a red Haider Ackermann gown with a thigh-high split and shoulder cutout. Kendall put her backside on display in a cheeky sequin jumpsuit, with a matching cape and sky-high platform boots designed by Marc Jacobs.
Kardashian first attended the Met Gala in 2013 with then-husband Kanye West while pregnant with their first child, and has since become a fixture at the event. Kendall has attended the glitzy party for the last eight years, making her debut in 2014 in satin trumpet gown. Kylie joined her sisters a few years later in 2016. 2022 was the first time the entire Kar-Jenner family attended the lavish ball.
The Kardashian-Jenner family have been making waves at the Met Gala for years, and this year was no exception.
