This look was reminiscent of her 2007 Playboy cover, which featured her wearing a sparse few strands of pearls. Fans couldn’t help but make comparisons between the two looks, prompting Kris Jenner to deliver her now-iconic line: “You’re doing amazing sweetie.”
TikTok and Twitter users alike were quick to point out the similarities between the two looks, while Diet Prada Instagram account commented, “Karl who? This year’s theme is actually ‘Kim: A Lexicon of Fashion’!”
Kardashian told Vogue that the iconic Chanel pearls inspired her look, and that some of them popped off prior to the carpet. Luckily for her, they didn’t drop into the ocean like her famed diamond earrings. Her sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner were also in attendance at the event.
