BUZZ: Margaret Qualley says it was ‘so much fun’ to play a dominatrix in ‘Sanctuary’

Margaret Qualley says it was “a blast” playing a dominatrix in her latest film, “Sanctuary.”

“It was so fun,” the actress, 28, exclusively told Page Six at a special screening of the film earlier this week in New York City.

The “Maid” star added that it was also “super fun” bossing around co-star Christopher Abbott.

In the film, she had to bark out orders at the “Girls” alum to scrub a bathroom.

Qualley shared that she’s not averse to scrubbing her own toilet in real life – as she finds cleaning therapeutic.

“If I’m feeling out of control, the first thing that gets tended to is my home,” she explained.

“I do everything. I organize the closet, color coordinate. But it’s not just organizing; it’s a sanitary thing. I like a deep scrub.”

Meanwhile, Abbott told us he also enjoys cleaning in real life – just “not in a psychotic way.”

The “Catch-22” star also revealed that while portraying a man bossed around by a dominatrix was a “fun character to play” on screen, he doesn’t think he’d enjoy being ordered around in real life.

“I would say not,” he said.

During another portion of our interview, Qualley said that mom Andie MacDowell – who is best known for “Four Weddings and a Funeral” and “Groundhog Day” – didn’t really dispense any advice for the latest acting gig,

However, she has taught by example over the years.

“It’s not necessarily one piece of advice,” the “Fosse/Verdon” star divulged. “It’s having a mom who is ambitious and loves her career and was wildly successful. That was ingrained in me from a very young age … that the sky’s the limit, and I’m eternally grateful.”

This week has been a busy one for Qualley as she was also spotted enjoying a lunch date with fiancé Jack Antonoff. The two were joined by Taylor Swift and Matty Healy.

Qualley, who was previously linked to Pete Davidson and Shia LaBeouf, got engaged to the music producer in May of last year.

She was decidedly tightlipped when asked if there were any wedding plans. “Just to get married,” she quipped to Page Six.
