BUZZ: Meghan Markle Seen Wearing Homecoming Queen Crown in Resurfaced High School Footage

Meghan Markle has come a long way since her days as high school royalty. A newly resurfaced video shows Markle strutting around in a homecoming queen crown during her time at Immaculate Heart High School in 1999. She wore a long white strapless gown and tiara as she walked arm-in-arm with her homecoming king, eventually transitioning to sitting in the back of a convertible as someone drove them around the track outside a football field.

The footage was part of a new 7News Australia Spotlight special that includes several videos of Markle growing up as well as interviews with her estranged father, Thomas Markle, sister, Samantha Markle and brother, Thomas Markle Jr. At one point, Samantha slammed her estranged half-sister’s relationship with Prince Harry as “very unhealthy” and “toxic.” Thomas Markle Jr. also threatened that they are “not gonna go away.”

The show also included an interview from Markle’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, who made a “death-bed plea” to his estranged daughter and whispered, “How can I fix this?” The threesome also appear to watch other home videos of Markle – including one of her performing on stage in a cowboy hat and another of her riding a horse.

The coronation weekend will mark the first time Harry has reunited with his family since he made several accusations about them in his hit book – including that his brother, Prince William, physically attacked him. Meghan Markle will be staying home in California on May 6, as it also marks their oldest son Archie’s fourth birthday. However, Harry is still expected to attend, despite his strained relationship with his family ever since he and Markle stepped down from their roles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex in early 2020.
