BUZZ: Nick Cannon Praises Jada Pinkett Smith's 'Red Table Talk' After Show's Cancellation

Nick Cannon celebrated the news that Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk” show has been canceled by Facebook. On his “Daily Cannon Show” Thursday, he claimed that if the show had not existed, Will Smith would not have slapped Chris Rock after the comedian poked fun at Jada’s hair loss during the 2022 Oscars. Cannon called the show “toxic” and said he did not want to know about the couple’s relationship issues.

Abby De La Rosa, who shares three children with Cannon, disagreed and told him to “stop” bashing the “toxic table.” She argued that it was an “honest table” and that it made the couple feel “human” and “relatable.”

The show, which started in 2018, lasted five seasons and 129 episodes. It featured guests such as Queen Latifah, Tiffany Haddish, and Will Smith himself. When Will appeared on the program in 2020 to discuss his and Jada’s open marriage, his tears were promptly turned into viral memes.

Will and Jada have been married since 1997 and are the parents of son Jaden Smith. Despite the scandal, their relationship has survived. Will told viewers of “CBS Sunday Morning” in March 2022 that the duo “talk about everything and … have never surprised one another with anything ever.”
