Could this be the start of a “Summer of Love” for exes Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello? On the first night of Coachella, the former couple was spotted packing on the PDA while watching a performance. In the clip, Cabello and Mendes smiled at each other before coming in for a steamy kiss, as people in the crowd looked on.
The pair split in November 2021 after more than two years together, and released a joint statement on Instagram announcing their breakup. They wrote, “We’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for each other as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”
Cabello, 26, wore a pair of low-rise cargo jeans with a white crop, while her former beau, 24, sported a pair of khaki pants and a white T-shirt. They enjoyed drinks with friends and chatted together throughout the night.
Last year, Cabello got candid about how her priorities “shifted” and “fluctuated” during their relationship. She said during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, “We both started so young, too. It’s like we’re really learning how to be healthy adults. My priorities have fluctuated, and my focus has changed throughout my life.”
After their split, Mendes was linked to several women, including his 51-year-old chiropractor and singer Sabrina Carpenter. Cabello, for her part, dated Lox Club CEO Austin Kevitch. They were first seen together in June 2022, however, their romance fizzled out eight months later.
Now that Mendes and Cabello have been spotted together again, could this be the start of a “Summer of Love” for the exes? Only time will tell.
