The 2023 Met Gala is almost here! Set for Monday, May 1, this year’s star-studded ball will mark the opening of the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” Celebrity guests have been asked to dress “in honor of Karl” — meaning we can likely expect to see special looks from throughout the late design legend’s six-decade career make their way up the Met steps on some big names.
Vogue’s most prestigious party will take place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and will raise money for its Costume Institute. This year’s theme is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” based on the new Costume Institute exhibition exploring the work of the iconic designer.
Vogue’s Met Gala red carpet livestream will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET on May 1; fans can follow all the action on Vogue.com, as well as on the fashion bible’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. La La Anthony, Derek Blasberg, Chloe Fineman and Emma Chamberlain are co-hosting the broadcast.

Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer and Dua Lipa will serve as this year’s celebrity co-chairs alongside Vogue’s Anna Wintour.
