Paltrow follows a strict regimen that includes intermittent fasting, with her morning meal consisting of something that won’t spike her blood sugar. For lunch, she consumes bone broth or soup, and for dinner she eats according to paleo standards, with lots of vegetables. This caused a stir on TikTok, with one account captioning a video, “For someone as passionate about detoxing as she is, she is probably one of the most toxic celebrities in the wellness space of our generation.” Paltrow later responded to the controversy on Instagram Story, explaining that her way of eating supports her long COVID and decreases inflammation. She also clarified that she doesn’t expect anyone else to follow her exact diet.
