Fans of Idris Elba’s thrilling crime drama “Luther” have been left wondering if Alice Morgan (played by Ruth Wilson) would return after her apparent death in season five. The iconic narcissistic and psychopathic murderer had been wreaking havoc in Luther’s life throughout the show’s five seasons, and her body disappeared after her fall, leaving fans to speculate if she was truly dead.
The new movie “Luther: The Fallen Sun” premiered on Netflix on March 10, and it answered the question of whether Alice would return from the dead. Unfortunately, Alice is not in the movie and is never even mentioned. However, show creator Neil Cross has stated that Alice is still alive and could return to Luther’s story in the future. Cross said in an interview with Newsweek that Alice is too compelling of a character to leave behind, and he believes that she sprang from some part of his brain fully formed. He also finds it interesting that people respond to her and identify with her so profoundly.
