Even though Jenna Bush Hager’s father was the President of the United States, she still got into trouble with the law. Jenna revealed to her “Today” co-host Hoda Kotb that she had two run-ins with the law in 2001 for underage drinking while attending the University of Texas. Jenna and her twin sister Barbara Bush Coyne were caught in possession of alcohol and trying to purchase alcohol at a restaurant with a fake ID, both within five weeks of each other. Jenna recalled that when she called her dad to apologize, he said, “I’m sorry, I told you [that] you can be normal, and you can’t. You can’t order margaritas.” Although Jenna was embarrassed, her parents never said it. She was given a fine and had to do some community service, but at least she didn’t go to jail.
