Believing that Jimin’s first single from his debut solo album, “Face,” was only a promotional track is hard to accept, due to the epic group choreography and Jimin’s stunning vocals in the “Set Me Free Pt. 2” music video. However, it is true, and the BTS member is set to release his main single on March 24th, along with the album. If “Set Me Free Pt. 2” is anything to go by, it is sure to be a hit.
On March 21st, Jimin released the first teaser for “Like Crazy”. The 30-second clip featured Jimin laying his head down on a table in a well-lit, small house, looking dazed, and then cuts to him in a dark room leaning back on a couch and looking at the camera alluringly.
In a handwritten letter to fans shared via email newsletter on March 22, Jimin shared the inspiration behind his new single, writing, “‘Like Crazy’ is inspired by one of my favorite films. Guess what that would be!” Fans are currently trying to figure out what movie Jimin is referring to. While Jimin has expressed his love for “The Notebook” on several occasions, some fans think that the title of the song may suggest the movie the singer is referring to is the 2011 drama of the same name starring Anton Yelchin and Felicity Jones.
The teaser only revealed a short snippet of the synth-pop track, with Jimin softly singing what sounds like the words “Please me” again and again. Jimin will release a Korean and English version of “Like Crazy” along with the album’s debut on March 24th.
