After 36 years, the iconic thriller “Fatal Attraction” is being reimagined for Paramount+ streaming. Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan will star in the series adaptation, which is set to premiere this spring. Alexandra Cunningham is the writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the series, with Kevin J. Hynes also serving as executive producer.
The original movie follows married Dan Gallagher (originally played by Michael Douglas) who has a weekend-long affair with Alex Forrest (Glenn Close). Dan views it as a fling, but Alex becomes attached and begins to stalk him at his home and office. Her actions become increasingly deranged, leading to an unforgettable confrontation.
In the new series, Jackson will take over as Dan and Caplan as Alex. The first teaser trailer has been released, along with more details on the cast and plot.
