Calling all Kelly Clarkson fans! Get ready, because the “Breakaway” singer just announced that her highly-anticipated 10th studio album is coming out later this year. The album is called “Chemistry,” and Clarkson revealed the title and some details about the inspiration behind her new songs in an Instagram video.
Clarkson explained that she had been working on the project for close to three years, and that she wanted to find a word that could describe the entire album. She said, “I didn’t want everybody to think I was just coming out with some ‘I’m angry’ or ‘I’m sad,’ just those two emotions. This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship.”
The singer has previously revealed that her new album was inspired by her divorce from music producer Brandon Blackstock, who she shares two children with. She added that the title “Chemistry” was perfect for describing the entire album, as it can be both a positive and negative thing.
Clarkson also said that the album was “coming soon” and that music from it would be released even sooner. She said, “I’m very excited about it. When I say soon, I mean really soon. I’m nervous but I’m excited about putting it out.” She also shared that this album was very important to her, as it has been a healing process for her.
