It is with great sadness that the news of Brian “Brizz” Gillis’ passing has been announced. Gillis, a former member of the pop/hip-hop group LFO, died at the age of 47. Brad Fischetti, another member of the group, took to Instagram to honor his friend and collaborator. He wrote, “The first two chapters of the LFO story lost a main character yesterday. Brian ‘Brizz’ Gillis passed away. I am really struggling to process this tragic loss. I’ve said it before and I will continue to say it; the LFO Story is a tragedy.” The cause of death has yet to be announced.
This is not the first time the group has experienced a loss. Rich Cronin and David Lima both passed away from aggressive forms of cancer in the 2010s. With Gillis’ death, Fischetti is now the sole surviving member of the group.
