Macaulay Culkin and Michael Jackson had a strong bond that began after Culkin’s rise to fame with his lead role in the 1990 movie “Home Alone”. People reported that Jackson was there for Culkin when he was alienated from his peers due to his newfound stardom. On the “Inside of You” podcast with Michael Rosenbaum, Culkin said that the two had a lot in common and that Jackson had reached out to him due to the changes happening in his life. Variety reported that Culkin was also featured in Jackson’s “Black and White” music video.
Culkin has spoken fondly of their relationship many times, including on the “WTF With Marc Maron” podcast, where he said that Jackson was his best friend for a long period of his life. He also shared his thoughts on Jackson’s preference for the company of children, saying that he never found it odd and he never felt uncomfortable.
