Miley Cyrus is going back to her Disney roots with the upcoming special presentation “Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions)” on Disney+. Before she became a renowned pop star, Cyrus starred as the titular character in “Hannah Montana,” which launched her career. Now, she will be performing songs from her eighth studio album, “Endless Summer Vacation,” for the first time, including her hit single “Flowers.” The special was filmed at Frank Sinatra’s old house in Hollywood, which was also the backdrop for her “Flowers” video.
The special will feature musical performances of eight songs from the album, as well as one of her classic songs. Additionally, Rufus Wainwright will join her for a duet. Clips from an interview with Cyrus will be interspersed throughout the performance. The special will premiere on Friday, March 10th at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST on Disney+, and fans will be able to purchase the “Backyard Sessions” edition of the album on the same day.
