In October 2015, Stephanie March and tech investor Dan Benton were introduced by a mutual friend. They had dinner together at the West Village bar Orient Express, but their first official date was a TED Talk of educator Sal Khan of the Khan Academy. After talking for four hours, they decided to make their relationship public in April 2016 at the Inaugural Whitney Collection Award. Two years later, during a Greek getaway, Benton proposed and they got married in September 2017.
Since then, the couple has been traveling to places such as Thailand and India, and their relationship is still going strong. In December 2021, March posted an Instagram caption celebrating Benton’s birthday, saying “You are My Person. You are unrepeatable, irreplaceable, and better than pasta. Yes, better than pasta.”
