Lisa Wu was one of the original cast members of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” from its inception in 2008. Before she was a television personality, Wu made a name for herself as a dancer and rapper in her group “9tene.” Her life with her then-husband, former Atlanta Falcons player Edgerton “Ed” Hartwell, and their child EJ was featured on the show for the sole season she appeared.

Wu spoke with Vibe in 2010 about why she moved on from the Bravo franchise. “The first season of ‘Real Housewives’ was very organic. What you see is what you got and that’s exactly how it happened,” Wu said. She explained that as the show went on and grew in popularity, everything changed. “Sometimes people want to turn you into a character of your former self and I’m just not willing to perform or create something that isn’t there,” she added.

With the drama of the “Housewives” franchise in the past, Wu has starred in several TV shows and movies, including a film she executive produced, “London Mitchell’s Christmas” — in which her son, Justin Sweat, also starred. She even collaborated with current cast member Kandi Burruss’ husband Todd Tucker after she joined the cast of his show “Hollywood Divas” in 2014. Though she isn’t clutching any peaches on a regular basis, Wu returned to “RHOA” in a cameo appearance during Season 10 at a party for her friend and former co-star NeNe Leakes. On Instagram, Wu captioned a throwback photo of herself and other OG Housewives, “Hey ladies we will always [be] connected.”
