However, tragedy struck in August 2022, when Heche was in a serious car accident. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor was behind the wheel of the car which crashed into a house. The accident, which occurred in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles, left Heche in a coma for a week. During that time, Lifetime Executive VP and Head of Programming Amy Winter issued a statement of concern for the star and gave an update that the movie she’s been filming, “Girl in Room 13,” was finished. he movie, which is about human trafficking, was particularly important to Heche, according to Winter. “We all sought to make a film to shed light on this important issue,” she added.
