In September 2021, the hosts of “The View” held a Q&A segment for the first time, although half of the hosts were absent due to testing positive for COVID-19. Joy Behar and Sara Haines stepped up to the plate to host the segment, with Behar saying, “We’re taking questions from the audience, which we never do. But it’s better than just hearing us talk to each other.” This led to the creation of a new segment called “View & A,” which has had mixed results. On the March 7 episode, Whoopi Goldberg seemed to be unimpressed with the segment, and the hosts were unable to provide advice to a mother whose children weren’t speaking to each other. However, the February 28 episode was more successful, as they were able to provide advice to a husband with an oversharing co-worker.
