Zachary Levi has been steadily building his career since his television debut in 2002’s “Big Shot: Confessions of a Campus Bookie.” He then took on a few smaller roles on sitcoms, before landing his breakout role as Chuck Bartowski on the NBC spy comedy “Chuck” from 2007 to 2012. This series made Levi a geek icon, and even inspired a successful “save our show” campaign.
In 2010, Levi voiced Flynn Rider in Disney’s animated classic “Tangled,” which earned him a chance to perform on the Oscars broadcast with Mandy Moore. His singing voice was Broadway-caliber, and he went on to star in two musicals: “First Date” in 2013 and “She Loves Me” in 2016, for which he earned a Tony nomination for best leading actor in a musical.
Levi was then tapped to replace Josh Dallas as Fandral in the “Thor” sequel films, and he also costarred in NBC’s 2015 TV reboot of “Heroes: Reborn.” In 2019, he starred in DC’s first “Shazam!” movie, and he is set to reprise his role in the second installment this March.
From his early days on television to his current superhero status, Zachary Levi has had an impressive career.
