In the Yoruba movie industry, a lot of actresses have been adjudged humble and respectful. These are ladies who, despite their fame and relative fortune, have been able to keep their heads low and show respect to the next person. They respect their senior colleagues in the industry and are always warm to the younger ones coming up. Though there also hundreds of them in the industry who breath and ooze arrogance, but we”l save that for another day. Today, we’re celebrating the five actresses regarded as the Most Respectful in the industry. This list was compiled by my female colleague who interfaces regularly with these actresses almost on a daily basis.

She is one of the most popular Yoruba actresses. She is also a producer and director and a business woman with flourishing business outlets spread within the Island. She has featured in over 150 films and has produced over 15 films of her own. This pretty mother of two is regarded as one of the few hot and reigning Yoruba actresses who show respect to both fans and colleagues. Inspite of the few controversies she has gotten herself involved in the industry, one thing even her enemies have given to her is her respectful nature. And this is why many of her senior colleagues adore her. She does not show them disrespect, she is always giving them the honor they deserve.

She is one of the hot and young actresses making waves right now. She’s an actress, singer, scriptwriter and producer. Bukunmi’s age is not known but she is probably in her late 20s. She was born into a Yoruba family of 7 where she happens to be the third child. She hails from Okemesi in Ekiti state, one of the southwestern states in Nigeria. Bukunmi Oluwashina is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre arts. She became really popular after she produced the award winning movie, Ayomi. She is said to be a very respectful young girl.

Meeting Bukunmi for the first time, you get the impression she’s a properly brought up girl from a decent family. Though she is still very young in the industry, but she’s achieved a whole lot within such a short time. With what she’s achieved, other girls her age would’ve been misbehaving, but not Bukunmi. She’s still as level headed as she was when she first came into the industry. She realises she’s young and so practically shows everyone around her respect.

Also known as Omo Butty, Biodun Okeowo is a popular Nollywood actress and producer in the Yoruba sector. She has made a quite the name since she debuted in 2006. She hails from Remo, Ogun State, but she grew up in Fadeyi, Lagos. She is from a polygamous home, and she is the last of her mother’s five children. According to her, their mother raised them single-handedly because she lived apart from their dad.

She studied Communication Arts at the Lagos State University, Ojo. She interned at LTV8 and learnt a lot about journalism there. According to her she would have become a newscaster, but the love and passion she developed for acting made her pursue a career in acting. Incidentally, her father used to be an actor with the Awarawa Theatre Group. Her father performed alongside people like Jide Kosoko. The hit movie, ‘Omo Butty,’ which she produced brought her fame and fortune. She is an extremely pretty and curvy babe. And very playful and respectful too. She dislikes rancour and beefing around her. She likes to have fun and enjoys being in the midst of happy people. One of the first things older colleagues will tell you about Biodun is that she is very humble and respectful.

We all love this pretty, adorable lady, don’t we? Bimbola Oshin-Ibironke is one of the accomplished and award winning actresses in the Yoruba movie industry. This beautiful wife and mother was born on the 24th of July 1971 in Ondo town, Ondo State, into a family of eight as the second to the last child of the family. She attended the University of Lagos where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy. Bimbo commenced her acting career in 1996 but rose to prominence after starring in a 2012 Yoruba film titled Omo Elemosho.

One of the reasons why everyone loves Bimbo is the fact that she is always warm and down-to-earth and very respectful. She is known to always give respect to her colleagues, both senior and younger ones. She is not known to have disrespected anyone in the industry, she is always warm and friendly to fans and lovers of her craft.

She obtained a degree in History and International Relations from the Lagos state university and also studied Public Administration for her Masters degree at the University of Lagos. This pretty dark skinned Yoruba actress has been one of the most sought after thespians ever since. She once survived a ghastly auto accident that nearly claimed her life. Ask anyone who knows this gorgeous babe and they’ll tell you she is an exceptionally sweet lady who oozes humility and respect for anyone around her. She’s very level headed and avoids controversies like a plague.
