Abdullahi Sule Re-Elected as Governor of Nasarawa State for Second Term

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Nasarawa state governorship election. On Monday, March 20, Ishaya Tanko, the state collation and returning officer, announced that Sule had obtained a total of 347, 209 votes, beating his closest rival David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got 283, 016 votes. Tanko said; “Abdullahi Sule of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes in the election, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected.”
