Ijeoma Thomas, the Nollywood actress, has challenged the notion that love is all that is necessary for a successful marriage. According to the Nigerian star, who was recently seen in a movie role proposing marriage to Yul Edochie, love is not the only factor that contributes to a happy marriage. She argued that many couples who have separated or divorced were once in love with each other, but other components of the family unit were not functioning properly. Thomas believes that a successful marriage requires understanding, wisdom, respect, values, knowledge, love and trust. She also suggested that women should recognize the value of their partner and honor them by proposing to them before they are lost to someone else.
