Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has expressed her frustration with the leaders of Nigeria, calling out the president, Central Bank Governor, the court, and the INEC chairman. She shared a video in which she spoke about how she was given old naira notes from the bank, following reports of a court order that the old notes are now legal tender. Despite this, she was unable to spend the money as no one accepted it, and was unable to get new banknotes either.
Lizzy Gold went on to say that the masses are suffering the most due to the confusion of the leaders, and urged them to come to a final decision so that the people know what to do. She wrote: “Our leaders are confused.. you all need to get yourselves together”.
