The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Francis Nwifuru, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the March 18 election in Ebonyi State. Nwifuru, who is the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, won with a total of 199,131 votes, while his closest competitor, Ifeanyi Odii of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), received 80,191 votes. The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Ben Odo, earned 52,189 votes.
