Nollywood star and former Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate of the Lagos State People’s Democratic Party, Funke Akindele, has opened up about why she is focusing on self-improvement. After her unsuccessful bid in the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial election, the mother of two took to Instagram to share a motivational quote about how she is dealing with the loss. In her post, Funke Akindele expressed that she is working on herself for no one else, but to become a better version of herself. She wrote, “‘I am working on me, for me’. Work on yourself to be a better version of yourself.”
