Jordan Fisher now stars as Evan Hansen in the Broadway’s Tony-award winning musical

This Netflix Original is not Jordan Fisher’s first acting credit by a long shot. The performer appeared in Disney Channel’s Teen Beach Movie and Teen Beach 2, later recording the song “Happily Ever After” for Disney’s Magic Kingdom firework spectacular. He frequently appeared in the television series starring Dove Cameron, entitled Liv and Maddie, as Holden Dippledorf.

Additionally, Jordan Fisher performed in a few live productions, most recently FOX’s 2019 adaptation of Rent Live. (One of his first live productions was of Grease Live, where he starred as Doody.) It wasn’t until 2020 that Jordan Fisher made his Broadway debut in Dear Evan Hansen as the title character.

First starring in Broadway productions like Hamilton, Jordan Fisher first took on this role of Evan Hansen during January 2020. This was only weeks before his debut in the Netflix original movie, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.

Jordan Fisher is one of the characters in the ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ sequel

Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky may have shared the spotlight in Netflix’s original movie, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Now, a few months after the first movie premiered, Netflix returned with a sequel, based on the novel by Jenny Han. This film stars Jordan Fisher as John Ambrose, Lara Jean’s old flame.

The two spend tender moments together, as Lara Jean (portrayed by Lana Condor,) navigates her romance with Peter Kavinsky and her own emotions. Could she be falling for this new man in her life? Just in time for Valentine’s Day, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You is available on the streaming platform.

This is far from Jordan Fisher’s first time acting. During an interview with Insider, the performer described his time on set for Netflix’s romantic comedy and his experience working with Lana Condor and Noah Centineo.

“We were friends going into it,” Jordan Fisher said. He explained that he knew Noah Centineo and Ross Butler (Trevor) prior to working together on the movie.

“That made things super easy going into it, and then of course beyond that, I love hangs,” Fisher continued. “I love to bring the cast together and do things, and play games, eat, have drinks, watch movies. We go on field trips to the movie theater and whatnot together. We had a great time. We had a really lovely time.”
