So here’s everything we know about the third movie so far.

‘To All the Boys 3: Always and Forever, Lara Jean’ was filmed back-to-back with the second movie

In August 2019, the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before threequel was given the green light. Netflix made the announcement through an Instagram video featuring Condor, Centineo, and newcomer Jordan Fisher, who plays John Ambrose McClaren in P.S. I Love You. The trio held up cards in a potential reference to Love, Actually.

“Hey, it’s me, Lana, Noah, [and] Jordan,” the cards read. “You guys have been so supportive and loving and patient. So let’s just say, our movie is coming soon! What, you want more? To All The Boys P.S. I Still Love You premieres February 12!”

Meanwhile, in early February 2020, Condor stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss the sequel.

“It’s a trilogy in the books. So we were hoping we would get a sequel,” Condor said. “And when we got it, I was really excited because I felt like Lara Jean had a lot more to grow as a young woman.”

The actress also shared To All the Boys 3 has officially wrapped production.

“Yeah, we finished shooting it,” Condor said when asked about the third film. “It’s done! We shot two and three.”

Now, it appears production for To All the Boys 3 ended on Sept. 10, 2019, as Condor bid farewell to Lara Jean on Instagram in an emotional post. On Sept. 26, the actress wrote:

One day all of this will be proof, proof that we were here, proof that we loved each other. It’s the guarantee that no matter what happens to us in the future, this time was ours.” – Always and Forever, Lara Jean.

It’s been 16 days since the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise wrapped shooting movies 2 & 3. I’ve been really struggling how to put into words my feelings towards this ending… words will never be able to describe my love for Lara Jean. Her family, her friends, Peter.

Words will never be able to describe the long nights on set, where it would suddenly hit me, like a ton of bricks, that I was getting the honor of portraying a girl so fiercely determined in love, who represents strength in softness. Words will never be able to describe my gratitude to YOU, for loving her as much as I do. For tying your hair up in a scrunchie and saying “let’s do this.” Thank you from the very bottom of my heart, you’ve made me feel like the luckiest girl alive. Always & Forever, your Lara Jean.

Centineo also penned his own goodbye letter to Peter on Sept. 17.

“Tonight was my last night as Peter Kavinsky,” the actor wrote on Twitter. “I hope you all love these last installments as much as we do. Forever grateful for the opportunity to be yours.

He continued: “Thank you Lana, thank you Michael, Thank you Matt, Thank you Netflix, grateful to every person who told this story with us.”

For now, Netflix has yet to announce the release date and time for To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean. But since the second and third movies were filmed back-to-back, it’s likely To All the Boys 3 will come out sooner than later. Nevertheless, fans will just have to wait and see which air date the streaming platform chooses for the franchise’s conclusion.

Even so, remember P.S. I Still Love You is making its debut this February. And basically, it seems there are plenty of road bumps ahead for Peter and Lara Jean. Still speaking with The Tonight Show, Condor teased how fans reacted to the sequel’s new love triangle.

“It’s like an honest, true love triangle,” Condor said. “There’s a new character named John Ambrose McClaren, who’s played by the amazing Jordan Fisher, and he comes in and rocks the boat. We had the premiere days ago — the fan screening — and people went nuts. They were screaming at Lara Jean, like, ‘Why?!”
