On Saturday, Lionel Messi, the world-renowned Paris Saint-Germain forward, made history once again. This feat is especially remarkable as it was 18 years ago when Messi first provided his first club career assist to Barcelona legend Ronaldinho while wearing the number 30 jersey – the same jersey he wore when he provided his 300th milestone club career assist to Mbappe. Mbappe managed to beat the offside trap and collect a through ball from Messi in the 90th minute, rounding goalkeeper Marco Bizot to slot it into an empty net. Messi now has 13 Ligue 1 assists this season and 31 assists across all competitions for PSG.
