A yet-to-be-identified man has been discovered dead with some of his body parts missing in Akure, the capital of Ondo state. Olufumilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the spokesperson of the state police command, informed newsmen that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Oba-Ile Police Station and his team had visited the incident scene. The deceased was found discarded near the Benin motor park.
The body was examined and moved to the specialist hospital in Akure. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man was from Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo state. The police spokeswoman also mentioned that the corpse had been placed in the state morgue.
