Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, has denied issuing a threat against voters who would not vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming Lagos governorship election. A video had circulated on social media in which Akinsanya was heard saying that Igbo people who do not want to vote for the party should stay at home. However, Akinsanya clarified that his comment was a playful remark to his sister, whose name is “Iya Chukwudi”, and not an actual threat. He also stated that he has always been on the “side of peace” in his activities. Iya Chukwudi herself confirmed that she was the one Akinsaya mentioned in the viral video, adding that he is her long-time customer. Akinsanya concluded by saying that he did not threaten any Igbo people and asked them to confirm this in Oshodi.
