Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has filed a lawsuit against secular musician Obidiz for using her name and photo in a commercialized song. On March 23rd, the singer took legal action against Obidiz for allegedly using her name and image in a secular music audio and video. Mercy’s lawyers have sent a cease and desist letter to Obidiz, demanding that he take down the song from all musical platforms and remove any promotional videos containing her image and clips from all social media platforms. If Obidiz fails to comply, the full force of the law will be brought against him, seeking 2 billion in damages.
