Ime Bishop Umoh, better known as Okon Lagos, a Nollywood actor and comedian, has sent a strong message to those who partake in electoral violence in order to benefit their favored candidate. Reports of political thugs wreaking havoc on citizens who are simply exercising their right to vote have been rampant across the country.
Okon Lagos expressed his disapproval of these thugs and political leaders who are destroying the faith of citizens in their country. He used the hashtag “One Day” to emphasize that soon, these people will be on the receiving end of what they are dishing out. He wrote, “If you are part of the person(s) or system that works overtime and tirelessly hard to make Nigerians continually lose faith in Nigeria…the unworkability of Nigeria is working for you today, I tell you this: One day, in not a distant time, tables will turn. You too will be at the receiving end of oppression.”
