Stardust clip features Johnny Flynn as David Bowie

Film Constellation has released the first clip from director Gabriel Range’s forthcoming David Bowie biographical drama film Stardust, featuring Johnny Flynn as the legendary music icon. Last week, it was announced that the film will be having an online screening event today for the press and potential buyers. Stardust was supposed to make its world premiere this week at the cancelled 2020 Tribeca Film Festival. Check out the video in the player below! (via Variety)

Meet David before Bowie. One of the greatest icons in music history; But who was the young man behind the many faces? After 27 studio albums, 7 Grammy wins and countless hit songs later, David Bowie still being considered as one of the greatest artists of all time and became a pop culture phenomenon due to the unforgettable changes he brought to the music industry with his unique styles and innovative sound. Bowie had also starred in a number of iconic films such as the 1986 cult classic Labyrinth; Martin Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ; and 1976’s sci-fi film The Man Who Fell to Earth. In 2006, the “Heroes” singer died at the age of 69 after his 18-month battle with liver cancer.

The film will star Johnny Flynn (True West, Emma) as the legendary music icon David Bowie, Marc Maron (Glow, Almost Famous)  as Ron Oberman, Golden Globe nominee Jena Malone (Hope, Vice) as Bowie’s first wife Angie Barnett and Aaron Poole as Mick Ronson.

Stardust is directed by Gabriel Range (Death of a President), who co-wrote the screenplay with Christopher Bell. The film is produced by Paul Van Carter, Nick Taussig, Matt Code, Daniel Hubbard, and Julie Strifer. It is a production by Salon Pictures and financed by Film Constellation.
