StateMan Accused of Killing Landlord in Ogun State After Argument with His Wife

Ifeoma Ossai, 33, has denied the allegation that she caused the death of her landlord in Ogun State by pulling his manhood. On Saturday, March 11, 2023, a report was lodged at the Nigeria Police Divisional Headquarters Sango Ota by Mr. Olaleye Taiwo, claiming that his 50-year-old brother, Monday Oladele, had a quarrel with his tenant over unpaid electricity bills.

In an interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Ms. Ossai stated that she had moved into the house in June 2022 and paid N230,000 for a one-room apartment. She explained that the landlord had promised to provide water but had not done so, and that a dispute had arisen over this. She claimed that the landlord had slapped her and his wife had scratched her face before he went inside to make a call. Ms. Ossai said that she had returned to her apartment when someone called her to come and see the landlord lying unconscious. She denied grabbing the landlord’s manhood, saying that she was surprised such a story could be formulated against her.
