The Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Prof. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, the former Minister of State for Education, and the Rights for All International (RAI) group. The suit was seeking to void the participation of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25 presidential election. The five-man panel of the apex court ruled that the appeal was statute barred and had become academic, and Justice John Okoro dismissed it after appellants’ lawyer applied to withdraw it.
