Ocean’s 8 is a criminal mastermind movie featuring seven other female thieves who try to pull off the heist of the century at New York’s annual Met Gala. The movie also features famous Singer, Rihanna and it’s set to be released on June 8, 2018, in the USA.
On this first official Ocean’s 8 trailer, we saw Sandra Bullock who takes the middle of everyone’s attention as the heist pioneer, however she’s joined by glamorous programmer/hacker Rihanna (otherwise known as “Eightball”) in the almost 3-minute teaser that sets up the all-female reboot of the series that initially starred Brad Pitt, George Clooney and their own group of exquisite terrible guys. The trailer, which dropped Tuesday morning (Dec. 19) sets up the detailed premise of the film, which has the top pick group of thieves – which includes Mindy Kaling, Cate Blanchett, Awkwafina, Sarah Paulson and Helena Bonham Carter – plotting to snatch a $150 million jewel neckband from Anne Hathaway‘s neck at the yearly Met Gala.
Unfit to shake the charm of the Ocean privately-owned company, Bullock recruits her executioner team, including web savvy Rihanna, who appears quickly in a scene where she introduces herself to Bullock’s character from behind a PC. “What’s your name?” Bullock asks her. “Nine Ball,” Rihanna replies from behind round Lennon-style glasses and a cascading head of locs. “What’s your real name?” Bullock asks a second time. “Eightball,” Rihanna tells her.
Also showing up in the preview is late-night host James Corden, who is seen visiting with Bullock at a coffee shop. The Gary Ross-directed movie is expected out on June 8, 2018.
