The fourth season of “Succession” has broken the mold of the previous seasons, with a significant time jump into the future. Season one began on the eve of Logan’s 80th birthday, with the season ending on Shiv and Tom’s wedding night the following March. Season two picks up shortly after that, with Kendall pulling out of his hostile takeover of Waystar Royco. Season three follows, with the children negotiating who should be the new head honcho if they take over the company. The season ends with Logan attempting to sell Waystar Royco out from under his kids.
In contrast, season four fast forwards to the night of Logan’s next birthday, meaning it’s October once again. This time jump of three months has been a surprise to viewers, as it is a lot for “Succession.” It remains to be seen how long the fourth and final season will cover, and who will end up on top.
