“Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Announces Third Round of Season 2 Cast Members

The first season of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” concluded with an exciting finale in October 2022, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the already-announced season two. From the reveal of Gandalf to the return of Sauron, the show was full of thrilling surprises and unexpected plot twists, and viewers can expect even more action-packed drama in the upcoming season.

Gennifer Hutchison, writer and executive producer of “The Rings of Power,” has teased what viewers can expect from season two. “At the end of the season, we set a lot of threads in motion. Whether they feel more immediate or more down the line, I think, is something that fans can kind of speculate [on] themselves,” she told Collider. “But the intent is definitely to follow those paths that we set in motion at the end.”

The series premiered on Prime Video on Sept. 2, 2022, and was met with great success, garnering 25 million viewers during its debut, making it the streaming service’s most-watched premiere ever.
