The wait for Droughtlander is almost over, sassenachs! Starz’s “Outlander” is set to end after its eighth season, but there’s still plenty to look forward to now that season seven has two premiere dates. On December 23, 2022, Starz released a teaser trailer for the upcoming season, promising all the romance, action, and prophetic dreams viewers have come to expect. In the teaser, Jamie tells Claire he dreamed they were surrounded by an unnatural light, which could be a warning of what’s to come. Meanwhile, Brianna is seen giving birth and Claire has a noose around her neck.
In March 2021, Starz shared the official season seven renewal announcement and on April 6, 2022, the official “Outlander” Twitter account posted a behind-the-scenes first look at season seven. The upcoming season is set to have 16 episodes, tying the first season for the highest episode count in the series. The first eight episodes will air on June 16, 2023, while the latter half are scheduled to premiere sometime in 2024.
