In her new memoir, Paris Hilton recounts her experiences at Provo Canyon School in Springville, Utah, which she had previously kept blocked from her memory. After watching Demi Lovato’s 2017 documentary, “Simply Complicated,” Hilton was inspired to speak out about her experiences. In her book, she reveals instances of rape, physical and verbal harassment, and dangerous living conditions that she endured during her time at the boarding school. Hilton credits Lovato for giving her the courage to tell her story, saying, “I envied that acceptance. I wanted that discovery for myself.”
