Disney and Pixar have unveiled the trailer for their upcoming animated feature, “Elemental,” which tells the story of Ember, a girl made of fire, and Wade, a man made of water. The two must figure out how to coexist in Element City, a place where people made of fire, water, air, and land all live together, but fire people are considered too different from everyone else. The trailer shows Ember walking through a crowded bus, with shots of life in Elemental City – earth people blooming at random moments, air people floating to the end of the bus, and water people doing their best to keep from sloshing all over the place. When Ember and Wade both reach for her dropped headphones, a drop of his water creates steam when it touches her flames. This short teaser ends with a hint of the strange and beautiful world of the upcoming new film.
The movie’s full trailer was released on March 28 and featured more members of the voice cast, including “Schitt’s Creek” star Catherine O’Hara. With the trailer now out, fans can get a better look at the adorable romance between Ember and Wade as they try to find a way to coexist in a city that’s stacked against them.
