APC Urges Police to Hold Rhodes-Vivour Accountable if Lagos Catches Fire

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has called on the police to arrest the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Gbadebo Chinedu Rhodes-Vivour, over his statement made earlier today regarding the elections. In his statement, Rhodes-Vivour expressed his displeasure with the election and warned that “if tonight, Lagos catches fire, it is not our fault.” Seye Oladejo, the APC’s publicity secretary, released a statement in response to Rhodes-Vivour’s comments, cautioning him and urging the police to take action if there is any breakdown of law and order in the state. Oladejo also noted that the APC is compiling reports of how its supporters were harassed and attacked during the election, and accused Rhodes-Vivour of trying to attract sympathy with lies. He concluded by urging the LP and its candidate to embrace peace instead of threatening violence.
